Dear Parents and Students,

Reminder: Re-registration is now open. If you did not attend Registration Fest, please complete the re-registration paperwork and turn in to the School Office along with the fees.  We are still waiting on a little over 50 students to re-register.   Kindergarten and new student registration is in full swing as of Monday.  Classes are filling up quickly.

Congratulations to CHARLOTTE SUNDERMAN, and the Seton Dance Team, who earned first place at the National Dance Competition in Florida.

Spring Testing begins in two weeks with the IOWA Tests of Basic Skills, in Grades 1-7 required by the Archdiocese.  They continue through April, with the Ohio mandated AIR Tests, which we will conduct online for grades 3-8.  Please ensure your child has a good night’s sleep and a good breakfast.  These tests are very important; thanks for your support and cooperation.

Reminder:  We dismiss to the Sturm Parking Lot by church in the afternoons.  The only children who dismiss to the Carson Avenue side of school are bus and van riders.  We will once again begin enforcing this policy more firmly.  No students can exit the Carson Avenue side without permission from a St. Lawrence staff member.  This is for student safety, as buses and cars come down Carson very quickly.

*Mark your calendars for Wednesday, March 8.  This is an In-Service Day for St. Lawrence Staff and we will have no school for students. This day was  NOT marked on the school calendar. *

Thank You to everyone who attended the Chili Cook Off this past Saturday.  We had a great turnout and everyone had a great time.  The winner of the TV  Raffle was Charles Wilke and the winner of the Chili Cook off was Dave Martini.  Congratulations to both.

THE MAIN OFFICE is on the SECOND FLOOR of the big building.  Please do not stop in classrooms on the way up.  We need all parents to sign in and be accounted for, in case of emergency or other situations.  Because of the Archdiocesan Child Protection Decree, parents cannot simply drop into classrooms unannounced.  It is required that all visitors sign in at the Office and have permission to go to classrooms.  Thanks for your support—this is in place to ensure that all of our children are safe.

Please let the office know if your information has changed.  We need to be able to contact you if there is an emergency for your child or an emergency at school.  Also, please sign up for the EZText service by sending EZHUG90045 to 313131.  Even if you have run out of minutes, this service will send a text message to you.

Please continue to pray for the members of our community who need it: The Datillos’ dad, Hannah Caster’s dad, who recently passed away, Ms. O’Toole’s mother, Mrs. Shore’s family, Mrs. Sperber’s dad.  Even a quick prayer at dinner or in the car is heard by our gracious and loving God.

Do you worship at another Catholic Church?  Interested in your child receiving sacraments at St. Lawrence with his or her classmates?  Call the school office (513) 921-4996.  This goes for parents, too!  We would love to have you join our parish family!
