Just a reminder that if you
volunteer in our school regularly (three hours or more a
month) you must have a background check done through the
Archdiocese of Cincinnati.
The Archdiocesan Decree on
Child Protection (B.2-B.5) requires all employees
and volunteers who have significant contact with
children to have a criminal background check. The Ohio
Revised Code also requires certain employees (e.g.,
teachers, teacher aides) working with children to have a
criminal background check. The brochure outlining
the decree can be found at:
http://www.catholiccincinnati.org/childprotect/brochure.pdf
and the full decree can be found at:
http://www.catholiccincinnati.org/childprotect/decree.pdf
.
In
our area, fingerprinting and background checks are
available at St. Teresa of
Avila. The Archdiocese has a
more complete listing of sites that do fingerprinting.
