Be an “Organ” donor today!

As you all know, the long-failing organ at Saint Lawrence is finally being replaced with a new BECKERATH ORGAN . Preparations must be made for the arrival of the von Beckerath organ. Out with the old and in with the new is an intense and time-consuming process. Dismantling and removing the old organ has already begun and will continue through January. It’s a labor-intensive process that requires much thought and planning. As it comes apart piece-by-piece you will see parts of what is behind/inside of the facade pipes. Much-needed repairs to the floor will also be addressed as the balcony space becomes emptied out. We will be using the piano downstairs (out of the way of work) during the interim until the von Beckerath has been completely installed. The choir and cantors will also sing among the congregation downstairs during this period. Please be patient in the months ahead as this process takes place. And again, thank you for your generosity as we are already nearly at the 1/2 way mark of the financial goal for the project! Further updates will be forthcoming as the project develops.

We want to take a moment to thank all of you who have become “organ donors.” As you can see below, the funds are coming in and we wish to thank you for your generosity. We are convinced that the caliber of organ we are getting will help us to praise better, honor, and reverence the Lord for all He has done for us. So again, THANK YOU! The liturgy is the highest form of prayer that human beings can offer, so the more beautiful and profound the music of the liturgy is, the more it will affect our souls.
