Second Grade News
Week of December 1, 2008
Dear Parents,
Thanks to all of you who made the Parent Teacher Conferences so pleasant and successful. I really enjoyed meeting with each of you to discuss your child's progress. If I can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. Your child's education is very important to me as it is to you.
Our First Reconciliation Service will start promptly at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening. Please be in church no later than 6:45 p.m. so I can give any last minute instructions. When you come into church, your child will show you where to sit. Each family has one whole pew so that your entire family can be together. I only ask that my students sit in the first seat by the main aisle. When it is time to go to confession, the children receiving their First Confession will go to confession first. After all of the children are finished, then any of the family members may go. I am hoping that most of you will also go so that we can make this a family celebration. When the Service is over, please do not leave until Father has given out the Penance Certificates and candles to your child.
Thank you so much for all of the help you have given me in preparing your child to receive this important sacrament. I am very pleased with the progress your child has made, and I know that God will bless each one of them for being so sincere.
