Mrs. McAllister
Grades 5 and 6
Reading, English, and Spelling
Welcome to my webpage!
In my class, I have a typical routine, although it is always subject to change, especially if we have a short week, an extra Mass, a special presentation/program, or a school-wide activity. When we do novels in Reading, it will change the Reading routine.
SPELLING

Grade 6: We will work on Units 22 and 23, word endings and suffixes.
| Mo/nday/ | In class: We will read and discuss the "Think and Write" section of the new unit. | Homework:
Do the first page of the unit. On loose-leaf paper with a proper heading, sort
the 20 Basic words from the current unit and (in cursive) write them in
the correct category listed in the gray box with red print which is on
the first page of the unit. Number your paper from 1-20 straight
down the left side of your paper (without skipping lines). Put the
category title in the margin to the left of the number of the first word
in that category. For example, if the first category has six words
in it, then you would write the second category title next to #7.
PLEASE CHECK YOUR WORK, especially your spelling and handwriting. |
