Book Reports |

In addition to each month’s written report, you MAY complete the
following projects for extra credit. I
strongly recommend turning in the extra credit.
NOVEMBER:
On the paper provided, illustrate one of your favorite scenes
from your book.
On the back of the
paper, explain
the scene in a few sentences.
These
will be due by Tuesday,
November 30th.
DECEMBER:
Make a shadow box, using a shoebox, showing some scene or event from your
book. On
the back of your box, explain the scene in a few sentences.
These will be due by Friday, December 17th. JANUARY:
Write a diary entry that one of the story’s main characters might have
kept before, during, or after the book’s events.
Remember that the character’s thoughts and feelings are very important
in the diary. These
should be two to three paragraphs long.
These will be due by Monday,
January 31st.
FEBRUARY:
Write a letter (10-sentence minimum) to the main character of your book
asking questions and/or making complaints/suggestions to them.
This must be done in the correct letter format. Put
your letter in an envelope properly addressed to: March:
Choose a scene from your book that you want to retell.
Create the characters you want to include in this scene.
Be ready to retell the scene to the class using your puppets!!
An informational sheet will come home in early March giving ideas for
different types of puppets you can make.
These will be due by Thursday, March 31st. Please
keep this sheet as a monthly reminder of when reports are due.
