Values for a Lifetime
The Archdiocese of Cincinnati Catholic Schools office is
sponsoring a referral program which will run from November 1, 2006
through June 30, 2007, with a drawing set for July 1, 2006. You
can win free tuition to the Archdiocese of Cincinnati Catholic
elementary or secondary school of your choice for your child or any
child you choose. Visit their website to learn more about the
"Ask
Anyone Referral Program" Giveaway.
| One of the things that
you promised to do when you enrolled your child in St. Lawrence
was to come to a parent/student/teacher conference.
Studies have shown that when parents and teachers work together,
children are more successful in school. The teachers are
looking forward to meeting you next week to discuss your child's
progress. You received your conference time last week, but
if you have any questions, please call the school office at
921-4996.
Next week the students will come
to school regular hours on Monday. On Tuesday we will have
a 1:00 dismissal (no breakfast or lunch served) so that
conferences can start at 2:00. Then we are off the rest of
the week for Thanksgiving. |

BOOK
FAIR: There are books for all ages along with many
other activity kits, computer games, posters, and all types of
school supplies. All money raised is put right back into
our school library fund to purchase new books, Accelerated
Reader quizzes and items for the Accelerated Reader store.
It has been proven that Reading is a major part of a successful
school experience and good grades are often a wonderful side
effect. Please visit the school library with your child
during conferences and feel free to take a look at all we have
to offer. THE BOOK FAIR WILL BE OPEN FRIDAY AND MONDAY
AFTER SCHOOL UNTIL 3:30 AND TUESDAY FROM 2:00 UNTIL 9:00. |
| At this time of
Thanksgiving, I am very grateful for the parents of St.
Lawrence. You are very special; you give of your
time and talent to make St. Lawrence a better school.
I appreciate your willingness to work in the cafeteria,
on the playground, in the classrooms, and at Bingo.
The people who are on our PTO Board and Education
Commission do much good for our school. St.
Lawrence just wouldn't be the same without your
generosity!
We are blessed with an
understanding faculty and staff. Our teachers
spend countless hours beyond their teaching time for the
benefit of the children. They go to workshops,
prepare meaningful activities to help children learn,
and monitor before and after school activities - all for
no extra pay. They make St. Lawrence a wonderful
place to learn and grow!
May you have a blessed
Thanksgiving! |
